Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Washington DC
POE Date : 2008-06-27 Submit Review
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : I spent 40 Minutes trying to find my Guitar that I had sent as Fragile Luggage. The Guys at IAD sent it up on the regular Carousel with all the other luggage!!!
I then spent 2 Minutes going through immigration. Officer took the envelope, opened it, placed it behind him and stamped passport. Then said "Welcome to America".
Was not asked for X-Ray.
I did ask if I could get an EAD stamp. He told me that he couldn't but that I could go to my local USCIS office on Monday and that they would give me one!

Comments : I do find it funny that when you finally receive your 'Congratulations' letter...It has no fancy paper or heading like the NOA's do. Just a cheap peace of paper. No logo. No REAL signature.
It's something you could print off yourselve using word. After the Journey, i expected something a little more like a Certificate....to frame.
Still.....My Green Card Looks great.....AND MORE GREEN!
Best wishes to all on their journey.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
