Event Description

Embassy Review : It was all relatively quick. You walk to an area called the tripod and wait to be called to forward and hand your packet in. I waited 15 mins to be recalled to the desk and the agent asked me lots of questions, a very similar experience to that of the embassy (where did you meet your husband/how old is he/where does he live/has he been married before/when and where did you get married/what is his job title) all the time checking my responses to the forms we had filled in, it was quite intimidating. I was 32 weeks pregnant so he seemed to check my timeline of pregnancy from my last visit to the US to see my husband. My finger prints were then taken and then I went to sit down again and was recalled in 10 mins.
The man gave me a form and all he explained I had to remove conditions otherwise risk deportation.
Seemingly straightfoward. I wasn't really given any information regarding a welcome pack or social security and wasnt really made to feel welcome to America. Quick processing but not welcoming.

Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
