Event Description

Embassy Review : Our interview was for 8:30am on sept 5th. We stayed in a cabana the day before and headed to the interview at 7am got there at 7:30am parked at the gas station next door to the consulate for only 200 pesos and went to line 4 which wasnt as long as I expected it to be. By the way we did not run into any buscones! Lol As we got closer to the entrance we were given lucky number 109 we were in by 8:15am my husband was in first since the line for the ladies was much slower!! The entrance resembled an airport with a metal detector and a machine to scan all bags i was stopped because i had a memory card in my bag which i threw out in the garbage to avoid holding up the line lol. Once in we were called to window 25 almost immediately there we gave in my husbands passport, police certificate and the banco popular receipt there they asked us a few questions like our names if we were married before if my husband had ever traveled to the US and if we had any children together after that we were sent to window 15 for finger prints. We were hype because we were called so fast well they fooled us for the interview we waited and waited till around 11ish and were called to window 24. Honesty by that time I was no longer nervous i was ready to get this done lol. We were greeted by an african american guy in his 30's with very bad spanish lol but he was suprisingly friendly! He asked how i would prefer to be interviewed i told him english was fine and my
Hubby in spanish. The questions began he asked my husband to explain to him how and when we met and then asked if we had pictures i had 200+ photos which he saw ALL and asked us both who were ppl
In the photos and when and where they were taken. He aske who from the US attended the wedding, if i had any family in DR and how many times did i travel to DR to visit my husband since we met. He then told my husband to step out and asked me the following:
Who proposed and where
If i was given a ring and what color was it
Was our wedding in church or civil
Who from the US attended the wedding
If i had family in DR
If we had a reception and where
Did we have a honeymoon and where
Where did i stay during my many trips to DR
What color was my hubbys house
If there was a colmado close to his house and what was it called
If i knew if my husband voted in the last election
When was the last time we had sex
If we used any protection?
Did we watch tv last night
What did we watch
Do i have a car? What color is it? What kind of car?
Do i work?
Did i go to school?
What school?
What did i study?
When did i graduate?
What does my husband do?
(hes a dj) What kind of music does he play?
What is his hobby? (movies)
What was the last movie we saw?
Does he have any tattoo, piercing, or scars
Does my husband have a car?
He then called my husband over the intercom and asked me to leave once he was at the window. My husband was asked the sameee questions and told me the consul was marking off every right answer. Then sent my husband to look for me once we were together he asked me did we have dinner what did we have for dinner and if we ate together? Finally he said Ok well su visa a sido aprovada!!! I hugged my hubby and we went running to domex with our green slip. Which by the way was on our file the entire time!! :D The line for domex was super long but i was happy regardless lol we paid to pick it up and my hubbys visa was ready just 2 days later!!! Everything was smoothee thank god
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
