POE went great! We were both the first ones interviewed as soon as we arrived. The officer told us "congrats" and must get married within the 90 days. Exactly 5 minutes then we were out! |

Our interview was set at 6:45am (We were in the 1st group appointments to be called in). We arrived at 6:45am and there was a long line. We got in line and waited about 15 minutes, received a # and finally we got searched together and went in quick. We found an area to sit. We're both nervous but at the same time happy and simply praying to God that everything goes well. at about 30 minutes later after entering our # was called in to window 19, they asked my fiance for his forms (from packet4)then we were told to go ahead and pay for the interview at window 12 and to come right back. We returned to window 19 and then told to turn in a receipt. We sat down and waited another 45 minutes and called in to window 13 for fingerprints then sat down again. So at about another 45 minutes we were called in to window 22 for the interview. We hold hands and were asked to raise our right hand. I had a very good officer (black AA male). I was asked in english and my fiance in spanish at the same time the following:
Me: Do you have kids together? No
Him: What do she do for a living? She's a Secretary at a Police Department for Internal Affairs (in spanish)
Me: When did we met and how? IN February 2010 at the Carnival in Santiago, Kept contact and began to chat online.
Then I was asked to please step out for a few minutes.
They asked him: Does your girl brings you gifts? Yes
Him: How much was the amount of $ she sent you last time and when? 200.00$ in January.
Him: which side of the bed she sleeps? Right
Him: Who got up first this morning? She did
Now I hear the officer calling my name back in to window 22 again. I was nervous and simply hoping everything went well.
The officer asked my fiance to step out. So the officer asked me :
What side of the bed you sleep?
Who got up this morning?
Do you sent him $? How much? and when was the last time?
What did I bring him on this last trip? Anniversary gift- Teddy bears, chocolate,a nice shirt and a card.
Finally, my fiance came back in and the officer told him in spanish "Su visa a sido APROVADA" my fiance jumped, lol and kissed me ansd told the officer thank you! The officer was smiling and happy for us. WE went out with our green ticket and paid domex. The next thursday Visa in hand and we celebrated together with out frind here on VJ >>>> LaUnica over at Santiago and drinked and dance lol!
Well on our last weekend we celebrated and his family cried a little. We went to buy his plane ticket. We came together to Miami. Thank God! My God Never Fails! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
