Event Description

Embassy Review : I got to the embassy at 6:40 am and waited for Goulds to open up to store my phone, etc.

At 7:30 I was back at the embassy in the que that consisted of ME.
At the front of the line a lady checked my name off and I waited until called forward by the guard.

At 7:45 I was inside the embassy with number I901. Still just me in the waiting room that holds over 300.

At 8:00 am sharp the screens booted up and 2 more people came in. My number was called, I was the first person called.
I went to booth 14 where I was welcomed by a cheerful English guy. He went through the paper work, took my fingerprints, gave me my chest xray cd and the pink slip for the courier. He asked me if my wife's job had changed, if her income had changed. I said no and that was it. He said this could be quick as only booths 16 and 17 are open for the day. Off I went back to the seating area it was 8:15

I filled in my pink slip and at 8:32 I was called to booth 16. There were about 8-10 people in the waiting area now.

At booth 16 I was greeted by an chinese-american guy.
He took my prints again to verify it was me,then proceeded to ask me the most obscure things;

He asked me to describe my wife. I did, then it was like quick fire city.
What does she do,where does she live, whats her house like. She doesn't live in a house, but an apartment, so I corrected his question with my answer. He asked why I was going to the US vs her coming to UK. He asked if I had kids, if she had kids, if I had been married before, if she had, and when we got married.
But this was the coup de grat - what kind of meat does she like? I was going to ask him round for dinner! I thought maybe he would call her to verify, but it was too early in the US. LOL

He also asked if I have been to visit her. He seemed shocked when I said yes 4 times and she came to England 3 times. He asked what do we like to do together. I told him a few things and that we watch football. He wanted to know if it was American football or European football. I said both. He wanted to know who her favorite team was and then made a comment "Naturally" since it is her hometown team.

Then he said to me if I approve you when will you get married;quick as a flash I said we are already married. He smiled, typed into his key board then said,
IVE APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION

AS I LEFT HE WISHED HIM HAPPY FLAG DAY HE DIDN'T SAY ANY THING.

There were a lot more questions than I imagined and some were odd. He didn't know the answers to the questions. I guess he was trying to see how I would react.

I went to courier station paid and I was outta there at 8:52 am.
I had booked myself on the 4 o'clock bus home which I changed to the earlier one.

PLEASE NOTE THE PHOTO BOOTH IN THE EMBASSY WAS OUT OF ORDER.

All in all a great day and thanks to you all for your input guys and girls!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
