Comments : Visa interview - As I am from Northern Ireland and had an early interview, I arrived in London the night before and checked into a B'n'B near by. The pharmacy for storing electronics is well situated along with a handful of cafes for a quick coffee to calm the nerves.

Security was fine. I arrived at 7.30am for an 8am interview. I must have been about 25 people back, but it flew by. Once in I had about 30 minutes to wait while the 'N' numbers were flying by and I was still sat there.

Once I was called I had a very helpful individual who was genuinely nice. She helped calm my nerves by making idol conversation while getting everything into order.

I then had another wait of about 30-40 minutes to go to a second window which is where the oath is done and the interrigation per see. This guy wasn't as inviting as the first window and asked the usual questions when do you plan to marry? how did you's meet? have you met her family and visa versa. Then he said Im gona get this visa sent out, go pay at the front desk and I was away like a shout.

I was done by 10 o'clock and on my merry way to ring the other half. Best piece of advice is to be prepared, patient and remain calm.

Comments : Point of entry - I flew out of Dublin so immigration was done this side of the Atlantic. I would leave 3 hours to get security, checked in and processed at POE as I needed every minute of it. First window was fine. I was asked for my passport and the length/intentions of my visa. I said going to get married under k-1. He asked for my package and I was taken to a waiting area. Sat for 20 min before being called up to the desk. I was asked when I'm getting married, am I sure I want to do it and that I have 90 days if I changed my mind. The guy was really friendly, joking around and I was on my way :) nice and smooth!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
