Comments : Nice interviwer. Only took us 20 mins for the whole process. Only ask 2 questions to my husband: 1) how do you feel about Vegas (since we get married there!)? Did you marry your wife within 90 days after she entered US?
Didn't look at our pictures at all, only ask for some joint assets copies (e.g. joint bank account/ insurance)

Consulate Review: Hong Kong, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 10, 2009
Embassy Review : My interview was scheuled in the afternoon and I am the only person who apply the fiance visa during that afternoon. The lady told me I should be having the interview during the morning time but somehow they put me in the afternoon. Anyway, when I get there, a lady in the counter asked me to submit all the relvant documents. I gave her a bunch of financial support doc (bank record of my fiance/ mortgage doc of the house/ the invoice of the car, etc.) as well as our relationship proof (a photo album with around 10 photos across the past 3 years we have taken + the phone bills for the past 2 years). I waited for another half hour and then the lady show up again. She asked me more than 10 questions about my fiance and I, questions included:

How do we met each other?
Did I ever met his family?
Did he ever met my family?
When is the last time we met?
What is our plan for wedding?
When do I intend going to the states and get marry?
How are we communicate everyday? (by email? msn? phone?)

After all this questions, she said she is going to type the report for me about me and my fiance. After finish typing the report, she submitted to the consulate and then a man shows up in the counter and interview me.

Basically, the consulate did not ask me many questions (because it is all typed in the report), he only asked me where do I intend to live after I move to US and some questions about my past job (because I worked in US before). It takes less than 5 mins then he gave me the visa! Hurray!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
