Congrats on the EAD. I applied on 01/06/21 and am still waiting. Sadly we had to cancel our trip back to Australia for Christmas due to the slow processing times. I have a couple of questions if that’s ok. Did you submit your 765 & 131 with your 485? Did you receive your EAD via email? And did they text in the first instance to say they processed you submission? I’m just so damn frustrated that we can’t get answers from USCIS. It’s impossible to get through to a human and the web site gives no meaningful information on the status of applications.

Sure thing buddy. I submitted the I-765 alongside the I-485, but not AP (bc I naively assumed it would take this long and with covid etc didn’t plan to be travelling…raging with myself in that one). I-765 got thrown back bc I’d used the old form. Had absolutely nothing online except that they’d received them. Got an email saying they’d made a change last month which was invite to biometrics. Same again a week later saying the EAD is under review, and again last night to say it had been approved. Never had a text, nor has my wife but check online every couple of days. I-485 is ready to be scheduled for interview but that’s another wait and see.

Cheers! I had the biometrics mid Sept and then an email and 2 weeks later to say that they were ready to schedule an appointment! Just not sure what year 😜

At this rate, 2026?! 😂 Hope you get back to Aus mate. My brother lives over there with his Australian wife and my niece who I’ve yet to meet (thanks covid/us immigration)

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
