Good morning. Congratulations on your interview date. If you don't mind answering a question, I would be appreciative of your time. When did you fill out the DS160? And if you did, did you say you had an interview date to be able to make the VAC appointment? I am at the embassy currently awaiting for an interview and am unclear as to when to file the DS160. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-03 said:
And did you receive a paper packet or was it all via email? Thank you
Twilcox on 2021-08-03 said:
Good Morning, and Thank you! I still have not filed the DS-160 as of yet. I received an email yesterday with the interview date and will start completing. Once I start filing everything in I will let you know the process for sure!!

Thank you so very much for responding. I appreciate your time. So you haven't paid either is that correct?
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-03 said:
I am on so many groups and they keep saying to fill it out and pay now but everything I have read says to wait until the embassy contacts us. So thank you as your answer reassures me that we are doing this correctly. It seems the people who filled out their DS160 and said they already had an appointment on the website are waiting longer for their interview dates and God knows I don't want this to take longer than necessary.
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-03 said:
Again thank you so very much. You relived alot of my stress today.
Twilcox on 2021-08-03 said:
Am happy to hear I relieved some stress. Just wait for the email mine came just about 6 weeks after ready date at the embassy. Just breathe you got this!

Hey Tammy congrats! What was the time stamp on your email? I'm curious as I wonder if these emails are generated throughout the day or in the morning
Twilcox on 2021-08-03 said:
came in at 12:22pm

Thanks for your response
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-23 said:
Good luck today. I am wishing you an approval. Please let us know how you did. Questions they asked and such. I am so happy you got your appointment
Twilcox on 2021-08-23 said:
Unfortunately, we had to cancel the appoint as my fiancé is waiting for a renewal passport and we still have not received it. Am hoping it does not take too long to reschedule once we have the passports.
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-23 said:
Was his passport expired or expiring within the 6 months?
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2021-08-23 said:
Omg how disappointing. So sorry to hear that. How long have you been waiting on his passport to be renewed? I know someone in similar situation but she doesn't have an interview yet
Twilcox on 2021-08-23 said:
Very disappointing, we applied for a renewal in November 2019 the bad part is an Haitian Passport and well it could be another year before it arrives with everything going on there.
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2021-08-23 said:
Omg. That's terrible
Twilcox on 2021-08-23 said:
Positive note I leave Sunday for a few weeks visit so its something
Julie And Jose on 2021-08-23 said:
I am so sorry to here that
blank avatar Mmd82 on 2021-09-24 said:
Have you heard anything?
Twilcox on 2021-09-27 said:
He went to the embassy today and they said his passport should be there within the next 2-3 weeks the are sending them over alphabetically

Hello! Quick Question: Was the VJ timeline accurate for your NOA1 to NOA2? Also, is their subscription worth it? I look forward to your response.
Twilcox on 2024-03-11 said:
The VJ Timeline was not really accurate - It changes to much to be accurate. It was shorter time for the EAD to be approved then what the estimated timeline said and for Advance Parole is has changed daily for the last few weeks so hard to say if that is going to be accurate.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
