Comments : Hamby entered US on a tourist visa. All documents, including I-130, submitted 93 days after entering US. Proces went as projected. The civil surgeon did not complete the forms properly so that caused a delay at the final interview on 26 June 07. We received the approval on 9 July and the green card was received on 21 July 07.

Local US CIS Office Review: Memphis TN
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : June 27, 2007
Embassy Review : The Officer was clearly aggressive and confrontational in posture. The civil surgeon had not responded to all the sections on the medical form which caused us to acquire more information. The Officer asked my wife a few questions to confirm her response matched the completed information then asked for a copy of our 2006 tax return and my birth certificate and the interview was over in 10 minutes. He gave us a blue sheet of paper which indicated we were to send the medical information back to Memphis within 30 days. We Fedex'ed the information to him the same day and are waiting for a ruling. We are not required to go back for another interview according to the Officer.
Harassment Level : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
