Embassy Review : |
My Interview was today, Monday 12th September 2016.
My appointment was for 12pm, I got at the Embassy at 11am I was asked to show my appointment Letter & Passport. I was told to follow the signs to the correct building were I was then at the front reception and the lady asked which Visa I am applying for, they took my appointment letter and placed a ticket number on my letter, told me to sit at the front of the room and watch the screen until my number is called.
Within 5 minutes of sitting down and getting my documents together my number was called to the first desk, the first guy was lovely very nice he started to create a new folder for my case - They asked for the following documents, Passport - Birth Certificate - Police Certificate - I-134 Affidavit of Support ( With Supporting Documents ) and One Photograph of myself. I was then given a DVD with my medical X-ray on, and told to sit back in the waiting area and wait for my number to be called again.
Within 10 minutes, maybe less I was called for the last part of the interview were I was interviewed by an American Guy. He wasn't very nice at all, very rude! He asked me the following questions:-
How did you and my fiancé meet? When did you first meet in person? What does he do for a living? How many times have you visited him in the USA? Has he visited you in the UK? Who lives with him?
What do you plan on doing in the USA? Am I working right now? Where did I currently work? When do I plan on traveling to United States? Where are his parents, why do they not live with him? Random question!!
He then said I am approved and told me my Visa will be ready to collect in 1-2 weeks, He kept the new folder they created keeping my passport / police certificate / I-134 Affidavit of Support - with documents. He gave me back my Birth Certificate. I asked him some question after and he was very rude and sarcastic so I just walked away, and left the building.
Finally the day is over, I was nervous the whole time I can't even explain why I was, I was so excited and nervous to be there - Everything was happening so fast I left the building at 12pm my appointment time, I was only there an hour!
Thank you for reading, good luck everyone! x

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
