POE Review: Dallas
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-11-06
Embassy Review : I flew into Dallas International Airport from Hong Kong and there were a few international flights coming in at the same time so it was a good 35 min wait in line before it was my turn to see the Immigration Officer. He asked me some basic questions about me, took my fingerprints and photo. After that he asked me to follow him to a room at the back.

He handed my documents to the other officers and I sat down to wait for my name to be called. There were about 20 people in the room and I waited for around 45 mins. Quite a few people were questioned repeatedly but the officers weren't being mean/harsh. When it was my turn to be called the officer handed me the docs and reminded me that i have til Feb to be married. He said congratulations and I was free to go.

I would definitely make sure there is at least 3 hrs if there's a connecting flight, the process itself is fast enough but the wait could be long especially if the persons in front of you have more complex cases. I was also waved over to have my bags x-rayed at customs and was stuck in line for another 30 mins behind a Korean lady who had her 4 large suitcases manually checked. Finally I was done and ready to go! Made it to my connecting flight with 50 mins to spare!
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
