Arrived in Chicago from London at around 1pm after an hour and a half delay in my flight. I was panicking a little as I had a connecting flight to catch, but luckily I had given myself a 3 hour layover so I still had a bit of time to catch the next flight. We walked through to border control and thankfully there was no queue so got straight to the front.
When I was called, I handed over my passport and the sealed envelope from the embassy. The man looked through my passport and studied the visa, then took my fingerprints on both hands and took my picture. He spent some time writing things on his PC and then opened the envelope. He asked me a few questions such as the name of my fiance, where he lives and what he does for a living, all while flipping through the envelope contents. I could see all my medical documents and a few other forms I didn't recognise. He told me the date I needed to get married by and stamped my passport next to the visa with the same date. He then handed me the paper to give to the staff after I'd picked up my luggage and I was on my way! I did have to do an additional luggage scan for an agriculture check which I have never done before in all my visits so I can only assume that was related to me entering on a visa too, so be prepared for that small additional delay, but overall it was pretty painless and took about 15 minutes!
