Make sure you ask the officers manning the queues which queue you should be in. I spent 15 min waiting in line only to find out that I was supposed to be in a different line. The line combined first time immigrant visas, work visas and student visas I think. Stood in line for about an hour. The customs officer was polite, I was only asked two questions : 1) my purpose for coming to the United States (before he checked my Immigrant Visa) and 2) confirmed my address for the greencard to be mailed. Very quick, stamped and on my way in less than 10minutes.
