Once I got off the plane, I went straight to ask where I need to go with my sealed envelope. They told me that I don't need to use the machines to check in and to go to the exit straight away to get to immigration officers.
I got there and gave him my envelope, as well as the US customs card they give you on the plane. He was very friendly. I slightly freaked out when the officer said my finance stuff was missing, but another officer said that as long as my medical papers are in the envelope, then it should be fine. The officer stamped my visa, and I went on my way to get my next plane!
