My wife and stepson flew back to the US with me from Hong Hong to O'Hare. We arrived at just about noon, and the whole process of getting through Immigration and Customs took about 2 hours. There was no harassment. The Customs official was pleasant, although he was inexperienced and had to ask for help from others on a number of items. After fingerprinting my wife and stepson, we were sent to get our luggage, and diverted off to a separate area where we handed in the visa packages, and waited for about a half hour. They called me up to the desk once to verify my address where the green cards would be sent, and then handed back the passports, and we went on to our transfer flight from there. All in all, painless, except for the waiting. It had been a long flight from Hong Kong, and we were all pretty much beat. No questions, no hassles...this might have been because I was with them...who knows? In any case, we were thankful to get over this hump with no issues.
