Chicago is easy and smooth. It took a while for the officer to put my passport info into his computer but as soon as he did, he put the sealed envelope and my passport in a pink folder, handed it all back to me and told me to go pick up my bags and then go see this other officer at a desk close to the exit. The desk was marked "New Immigrants Only" and that's where I got my CR1 stamp in my passport, signed some papers and within minutes we were out the door. Both gentlemen were courteous and pleasant and the whole experience pain-free.
