We flew into IAD together. Since IAD is my home airport, I know the ropes and got us in line ahead of most of my flight (it was pretty empty on the US citizens side). Got a very friendly CBP officer who we joked with and he added some context on what we needed to do for next steps. All total, I think it took us 30 minutes from getting off the flight to walking out of customs.
