I found them very helpful. My K-1 fiance was traveling with me; we both went through the non-citizens line together, and the officer was friendly and polite. He didn't ask many questions. As he finished going through our paperwork, I asked him if he would make a photocopy for us of my fiance's DS-3025 as the consulate had refused to give us a copy. I explained that I realized it wasn't his responsibility, but that I really wanted to file his AOS paperwork correctly and not waste everyone's time and money with RFEs. He was very helpful and said he would send us with a copy of the file back to a secondary station where there was a photocopier.
We went to the secondary station. The officer there grumbled a bit about making the copies but he did it anyway and we thanked him sincerely.
This process began at from 6am and we were done by 6:30am. I was very impressed by this POE!
