After a 10 hour flight from Vienna we landed in Washington D.C. After passing many convoluted hallways we entered an area where one needed to choose the lane for U.S. citizens vs. visa holders. We were together and both entered a visa holders lane. There literally bwere hundreds of people in both lanes. It was suffocatingly hot. After 1 hour we inched our way to the glass booth where officer Stanley King greeted us. We were allowed to stand there together. He was very pleasant and professional and didn't ask any additional questions about us. He only opened the packet and looked for some forms. He entered some numbers into the computer and took the fingerprints and than the picture. The entire procedure took 2-3 minutes. Then we were free to take our bags and move on. At this stage beware of the department of agriculture dogs and do not take any fruit with you from abroad!
