Fiancee went to interview with daughter on June 7. Everything went well until daughters birth certificate showed a date of marriage entered by father when child was born. It was signed by father. Fiancee showed her CENOMAR showing she was never married. Filipino intervewer along with American asked her to get a CENOMAR for father and that amendmant was required on birth certificate. Fiancee got childs fathers CENOMAR same day and hand carried it to embassy. Amendmant we found out costs 600 US dollars and 90 days to process! In 30 days she will return to go before the Trial Court judge for amendmant then it will post in local paper. Finally it will be processed and sent to Fiancee. My question is if the CENOMAR is the document in PH showing proof of marriage or no marriage why go through the amendmant process Fiasco? I have emailed Consulate with my concern hoping to hear from them soon. We feel like we have almost reached the finish line of a marathon then they moved the finish line 5 miles out!
