So, my interview was at 8 am but I was there at 6 and went direct to the line 3 where there was nobody but me, at 6:15 people at the embassy began to work organizing lines and checking the letter from NVC and letting us to enter into the building, I was actually the first first getting into the place...
Then a girl (Colombian) told me to wait in the "office" number 6 (but it doesn't matter which one, green numbers are for immigrants, blue are the other type of visas, the color in the number is huge so is easy to see where you will be all the time.
Ok, at 7 am they begin to work inside of the embassy so at 7 o'clock I was talking with the girl (Colombian) She asked for what NVC said:
- Medical examinations (Enveloped)
- 2 Pictures 5x5 with the complete name on them (advice: use the right pen and do it before the interview)
- RECENT police certificate
- Passport
- Letter from NVC
She asked what was the longest stay in US (if any) and what dates. Verified email, phone numbers, names, parents names.
After checking all my documents and papers sent by NVC she organized everything and gave me back some of them they didn't need...She sent me to seat (best place to stay: behind "Cafe Iguana")
It was really hard to understand when consuls where calling so that part was difficult...I waited just like 20 minutes when a lady (consul) called me to number 3 (green window) and she asked same question what was the longest stay in US (if any) and how I did meet my husband. She asked if I was married before and then she said your visa is APPROVED!!! (Very nice lady!).
Then she gave me a paper with instructions of how to pick the passport up in two weeks.
Ohh!!! I forgot to say!!! I brought like thousands of pictures and papers and it was just difficult to carry, so the less the better but being smart and just bringing few of them. They didn't ask for anything, they had all the papers, but still I would bring copies of everything (just in case)
