My husband's appointment was at 6:30 in the morning, he arrived at the embassy at 4:30 and there was already a long line forming outside. I think he said he was the 30th person in the line even though he was there two hours earlier. After waiting outside for two hours, they were finally allowed to go in at 6:00 am. They were asked the appointment letter and the medical records that he had brought. He was then given a priority number. It was mostly waiting around to be called. He had two interviews. the first interview was stricter. This Filipina agent asked her multiple questions about me, about where and when we met. Things like that. And for some reason the lady also asked her for a CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage)...Good thing my husband held his cool and politely reminded the lady that he was there for a spousal visa not a fiance, therefore he was already married. :P
After the first interview he waited some more about 30 minutes to be called to the 2nd interview. This time it was an American agent and he only asked about 5 questions. Same generalized one, what I do for a living, where we got married and asked my husband to flip through our wedding album while he was answering the questions.
Then he waited some more to be called to the next window. 30 more minutes of sitting down and watching Spongebob. In the next window, he verified his mailing address and was told to go to the next window to drop the form...In the next window, he was basically said he can go home. He tried to ask when to expect his visa and passport back, but he was just told they usually don't give a timeline of when and that he just have to wait for the mail.
Overall he was out the embassy at 9:40am...very happy but very hungry... I asked him to rate his experience, even with the long process and waiting he still wants to rate it as a 4..guess he's just happy the visa is approved!...the long wait is almost over!!! :D
