No problems, generally positive experience. The actual interview took a minute, maybe two. "Have you ever been to the US?" and "Have you met your fiancee?". Unfortunately, due to some computer problems, I couldn't receive my visa on the same day.
A bit of advice:
- After sending the checklist to the consulate, wait about a week and call them. They will try to accommodate you if you ask for a particular interview date.
- According to the Packet 3 they send you, you can bring either color or b&w photos. However, they told me that the systems sometimes rejects b&w photos, so get color ones for safety.
- 80 Euro is an approximate payment. Depending on the exchange ratio you may be asked to pay more, so take some money with you.
