Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We arrived at 7:15, all interviews are set for 7:30am. There was a huge line! Two actually. We checked in with the guard at the door and got in line to the right of the embassy (going downhill). There was only like two people behind us. We got inside just after 7:30, checked cell phones and went through the metal detectors. The visa waiting area is to the right past citizen services.

Checked in at t he ventanillas, showed interview letter, moved to a room with an american guy behind the window they took the letter and digital fingerprints. Then we sat down and waited. Names were called up to the ventanillas and a few were called to 5 which I guess was a small room to the side. The people being called up were missing documents I think, for ventanillas 1-3. About 11:00 they called him up, asked how we met, asked for 20 photos from dating time (we had to take them out of the album), marriage, and current, and they also asked for a new antecedentes De policia (his first was from June). Then we sat down. I went outside to call my mother (they gave me a really hard time). About 15 mins later, we get called to ventanilla 4! There was a really nice American girl interviewing us (not too nice tho).

She asked in spanish
How we met
Has he been to US (no)
How many time Ive been to Honduras (7)
Who will he live with (me and my mom)
When we formally started dating
When/who proposed (him)
If I stayed in Honduras after we started dating until we married (no)
If we are going to have a ceremony in US(yes!) we married less than a week after he proposed
Has he met my mother (yes she is in Honduras now, had her passport for proof but she didnt want to see it)

She asked me in English
Who the cosponsor is
Is he family (no)
Are we realyy going to live with my mom? (yes but we are going to find a place together asap)

Pretty similar to waiting in a DMV, but with uptight guards who think too much of themselves telling you where to sit all the time. A guy came mid morning selling pancakes and coffee, etc.

Went back at 2, they didnt let me in, he walked out about an hour later (people kept coming out) with poe envelope and visad passport!

Ok she said (english) approved, return at 2 for the visa. They gave us back a huge stack of papers and our photos.
