Arrived at the consulate at 6:20am. Another couple showed up at about 6:35am and then another about about 6:45am. After that people started showing up more regular. At about 7:30am a guard came and opened up the door and let us inside to security. At security they let us go through one at a time taking off coats etc. They instructed me to walk downstairs and wait in the room. I sat down to the left of the elevator. At about 8am they piled us in the elevator. I stayed to the left in the back. Once the doors opened we went left and stood in a line for 14B. We waited there about 15 minutes before anyone showed up in the booth. It could have been because of the snow. The lady at 14B gave me C1 and I sat in the middle of the waiting area in front of the screen. At about 8:45am I was called to window 10 on the screen. At the window he asked for my medical, passport, and payment confirmation then told me to have a seat back int he waiting room until they called me again. At about 9am they called my name on the PA system to go to window 9. The lady there asked for my original documents and copies {birth certificate, police check, I-134 plus supporting docs (she gave me back 2009 and 2008 1040's and W2's and only kept the stuff for 2010), and letter of intent which she said she didn't require but took it anyway}. She then told me to wait in the waiting area again to be called for interview. At 9:20am my number came up on the screen to go to booth 8. I went to booth 8 and there was the very nice dreadlock lady. She said hello and we made small talk for a min about the weather while she was going through some documents. She asked me how we met, where my fiance lived, where he worked and what he did. She was then doing some typing and then said welcome the the United States of America I have approved your visa and passed me the welcome letter. Very easy.. was glad I was there early because I was out of the building at 9:30am!!
