Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived for 12:30 interview right at noon. We submitted our appointment letter and were told to take a seat. About an hour later, people started getting called in, though we weren't sure if they were all for interviews or for other matters. We got called at around 1:15 and led back to a small office with a nice interviewer. She looked over our case and asked my wife her name, birthday, address and parents names. I was only asked my name and birthday. She then asked my wife all of the questions from the form regarding polygamy, army service etc. Then she explained it would be 2-3 weeks for us to receive the green card and that we would have to apply for permanent residency in two years. It was all very simple and straight forward. There were no tricky questions. We brought all of our documentation plus about everything we could find to support our relationship (about 150 pages in all). At the end, we only needed to show the appointment letter. Everyone was very nice and professional.
