My visa was approved this morning. visa journey helped me alot escpecially the consulate reviews i read here thats why im doing my part writing my review for the future fiances/fiancees who will have their interviews. I wont write about the step by step process coz it's the same with everybody. Just a reminder, they are VERY strict with any electronic gadgets, so leave everything at home.
I was at the embassy at 6:30 AM, got approved around 11 AM. The long wait is killing me and it's nerve wrecking, but prayers do help to calm me. It's funny how my heart skips a bit when i see my number on the board (6105) but i tell you everything is so easy and went smoothly. The interviews took only 3 mins each (filipino pre-screener and american consul). They only ask basic questions that you will surely know. So relax and just be concise with your answers and make sure your papers are COMPLETE.
Filipino pre-screener questions:
1. Anong pangalan mo? (What's your name?)
2. Ilan taon ka na? (how old are you)
3. May anak ka na? kinasal ka na dati? (do you have kids? have u ever been married?)
4. si patrick? may anak na at kinasal na dati? (How about patrick? does he have kids and been married before?)
5. sino nag petition sakanya? (who petitioned him?)
6. may date na kayo ng kasal ninyo? (do you have a specific date for your wedding?)
7. Kelan kayo huli nag kita? (when was the last time you saw eachother?)
then he asked for my NBI clearance, CENOMAR, Birth cert., Form I-134, W2, ITR, and pictures together.
American Consul questions (She's really nice! Window 59)
1. What's your name?
2. Who petitioned you?
3. How did you meet patrick?
4. When was the last time he was here?
5. What's his work?
6. Who petitioned patrick to USA?
7. Do you have kids and ever been married before? How about patrick?
then she said, are you aware that you have to be married within 90 days that you arrive in USA? I said, yes I am. She asked for pictures of us together, she looked at only 2 pictures. Then came the magic words, "CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR VISA IS APPROVED! GOOD LUCK IN AMERICA!
