I'll just write a brief review about my interview @ USEM on Sept. 13, the appointment time was 8:30am.
I arrived @ the USEM 6:10am, security guard was asking immigrants and non-immigrants to fall in line around 6:30 and so everyone did. Bring out your appointment letter and passport to be checked before going inside the building, they need the appointment letter which SLEC has stamp on it. They'll ask you to put your passport on a ziplock then will hand over you a 2GO form and return back your passport and appointment letter. Then you'll go inside the building, a security check will be done, pls. don't bring any electronics with you and even a card with a musical thingy on it, they'll ask you to go out again and remove that electronic device.
If you're thru security check then you're off to go inside and fall in line just follow the line you won't be lost, give your passport and appointment letter then they'll hand you over that again and a queuing number. I got 6099 which is #99. And they'll ask you to drop your appointment letter on window 39, sit down and wait.
For my case I waited 10 mins. and my number flashed on the queuing board, I was asked to go to window 40 for finger printing. After 30 mins. my # appeared again for my initial interview with a filipino CO, it took me 15 mins. to finish my agenda with her. The ff. are the questions asked:
-my name, husband name, birthday
-where we met -how long we're married - when we got married - place -
-if I traveled outside of Phil. - what did I do there - how long -
-my husband is a filipino so I was asked where did he grew up in Phil. - how old was he when he left Phil. - how old am I - how old is he - what's my husband's work - where does he live in US - when did he arrived in Phil. - when did he go back US? it was 15 mins. so I was asked a lot. And the CO asked me to show my old passport which I have with me thank God, even my professional license (NURSE) then she really looked at our pictures and segregated it for me, looked at the album and said oh this is nice. And yeah, even my NSO docs. OMG! that was tiring but it was ok. And told me to sit down and wait for my final interview, she wished me luck and I said thank you. One thing I can say dress like you're presenting your very best, smile and greet them politely and you'll always get an answer back.
Next was 2 hours waiting before my number flashed on queuing board for my final interview. I was called @ window 61 which was surprisingly so very fast less than a minute or two. The american guy CO said ok your visa is approved. The questions asked was.
- what does my husband do - where he lives - how was our wedding? I said it was only attended by family and friends. then asked if I traveled out of PI what did I do there and after he just crossed out that white form because he don't need additional docs. from me and grabbed the stamp and stamped my paper while saying ok you're visa approved and I said thank you sir then he asked me if I'm ready to be in US, I answered him I'm so ready. then I thank him and replied you're welcome. He asked me to sit again and wait for my name to be called in window 73.
My name was called and yeah no probs. the guy just asked me if I have the 2GO form and he asked me to proceed to window 69 and a female took that form and said wait for my visa to be delivered.
Thank God I only stayed inside the embassy for 3 hrs. and went smoothly. God is good all the time. Good luck to everyone else who'll have their interview soon.
