Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

This morning My wife and I went to our 8:30am appointment, we arrived 1/2 before. We went through security, put our interview letter in the slot and waited. We had everything you could possibly bring, wedding albums, legal papers, joint account info, insurance..etc. We also brought our shops LLC papers and such, we figured it would not hurt. My wife was called first and took our 50lb bag of paperwork. She was questioned for about 20 minutes and then I was called in. I was very nervous and had not slept well the night before. I was asked for ID, then proceeded the questions, not many, mostly centered on how we knew each other, why we did not marry 15 years ago, why I let family dictate my life choices and a short discussion on my one time denial of entry, and my many years as a long haul cross border truck driver. Then she wanted to see our company information, LLC etc, she wanted copies, so we had to go to my wifes office, make some and bring them back. The interview was friendly, lasted about 45 mins, my wife was the one who went through the wedding albums with her. After my wife and I talked about the questions, the interviewer asked us both the same questions and we answered the same....no secrets between my wife and I. My wife and I are very happy to have gotten through this, and been approved javascript:emoticon('') I recommend to anyone going through this, have as much info as possible and more, be completely honest...the amount of information they can know about you is vast, and ask other members/boards questions. Hope others have a good experience as we did. javascript:emoticon('')
