Hey VJ’ers!
First off I want to begin by thanking everyone here for the support; I strongly believe that having a forum for an outlet has relieved a lot of stress when inquiring about certain topics!
I’m sure I would have exploded if I didn’t have the help and support I received from this site!
So my Interview:
So I woke up at 3:45 am...made some breakfast, got ready and set off for my big day... In the car I was feeling a little nervous.. I was listening to my fave playlist that reminded me of really good days with Scott...then the time arrived where I handed everything over that was electronic to my mum. I had arrived at the U.S. Embassy Manila at 5am. It was the moment that I lined up that my nerves had kicked into its maximum level, but regardless of that “Stay calm, carry on.”
The lines are long at this point. I was booked for the 6:30 schedule. Don’t be alarmed, you will be segregated into your time schedule. BRING AN UMBRELLA! One that can fit in your bag will be handy!
SO Prepare your DS-160, and your confirmation letter along with your passport. They will want to see it.
Once you pass the security check and collect your number.... THE WAITING BEGINS! I must have been waiting an hour...but finally at 8:30 my number was called for a preliminary interview... this is where they will ask for a few documents.
Moments later i was called for fingerprint scanning
And then i sat down for a little bit... and I was called for my final interview..
Now i had been reading in previous reviews that the “blonde lady” was nice... and she was.... my interview didn’t take more than 3mins!
By 9:20 i had been officially approved.
It’s easy... if you know your fiancé then it there shouldn’t be an issue. Be pleasant, smile and if you don’t know the answer...whatever you do be sensible and don’t lie... you’re not doing yourself a favour by doing so!
