Well I had my interview today and i'm still shaking. They asked me no questions about our relationship. We were not able to supply evidence of my husband's second marriage and divorce except for a statement from Alaska that they had no record of either event. The officer commented that this was strange and indeed it is, but nevertheless she then went on to the financial stuff. I could actually see the blue refusal slip with my name on it beside our papers and my heart was sinking fast. My husband does not file taxes as he is retired and his income is low. We supplied 1099s and a written explanation as to why he does not file and she said that i would need a joint sponsor. She gave me back my passport and i asked her 'What about my assets?'. I had supplied up to date bank staements with my name on them. She said that they did not seem to belong to me and i said 'really?' She looked again and went away. She then asked me for my passport back and i asked her if everything was ok. She said that normally they like to see tax returns. She did not give much away! She then said that she was going to approve my visa. i cannot express how releived i feel but i'll feel a whole lot better when i have the visa in my hand. I now have visions of my case being reviewed and them saying NO VISA. So still tense but hopeful that my vias will be deliverd soon. Thanks to members for so much advice and ebcouragement. I wish everyone well and congratulations to others on their approvals. I will post when i get that visa in hand!
