I had my interview yesterday, August 2 @ the 6:15am schedule. I arrived at USEM around 6am on a very rainy Tuesday morning. I stood in line for the Immigrant/Fiance section. There was a preliminary check done before going in for the security check inside the bldg. The person gave a slip of paper with a sticker with a barcode on it which was for the 2go delivery. He also checked the DS forms, appt letter, etc. After the security check, you will be led to another line with 3 windowed-counters where they will check again all the docs the 1st person checked. Then they will collect, staple all the docs & give you a numbered stub & ask you to drop it off at Window 39 inside the building. After dropping off the docs, the waiting game begins. So from waiting outside to dropping off the docs, 45 mins has already passed. After an hour, my # was called to the pre-screener window. There, the lady was already going through my DS forms. I was asked for the NSO docs (birth cert, CENOMAR), NBI clearance, I-134, W-2, 1040. She also asked me to sign the DS forms which I thought I had to sign infront of the consul.

She asked a couple of questions (more than the American consul)
- when & how did you meet
- who petitioned him (he's a naturalized Filipino)
- when was he petitioned
- was his family orginally based in the Philippines
- when I last saw him
- do you have pictures, email, phone bills (she just browsed through the printed email conversion & glaced at some of the photos before returning them to me)

As I was answering, she was writing some of the things down on a sheet of paper. After the Q&A, she asked me to wait again for my # to be called for finger scanning. After 35 mins, my # was called again for finger scanning, along with other applicants. The lady only asked for my name & DOB. When I was done with that, we were asked again to wait for our #s to be called for the final interview. After 1 hour of waiting, my # was called to counter 64 where a young brunette lady was stationed. When it was my turn, I placed my clearbook on the counter & waited for her to ask some questions. She was looking at the computer screen & browsing through my file of docs. She first asked me to swear to tell the truth.

After that, she asked:
- So he's the cousin of your brother-in-law?
- Do you/him have previous marriages?
- Do you/him have kids?
- You do know you have to get married within 90 days upon arriving in the US?

Then that was it, she didn't even ask to see anything else that I had prepared. She said "Ok so your visa is approved. Just sit down & wait again for your # to be called." She said it so casually that it didn't really sink in at first. I was so giddy when I sad down. The interview only lasted around 2-3 mins.

I sat & waited for another 30mins & my names was called to proceed to another window to finalize any missing docs (mine was complete). The guy asked for my full name & petitioner's name & stated again that my visa was approved. After that, he directed me to another window for the 2go delivery paper. When I got to the 2go window, the girl only confirmed what I had written on the sheet of paper given at the start of the line outside the USEM. On the sheet, you had to write your case #, full name, home address, DOB, tel #, email add, mobile #. She informed me 2go will text prior to delivering the package. I was finished with the whole thing at around 9:45am.
