stayed at the Marble arch inn which is just a short walk from the embassy, only 10 minutes and really easy to get to from the underground. Arrived at the embassy at 7am and there was a few people already waiting. First thing to do is check appointment letter and then remove watches and belts and wait in the second line, this was very quick. Went through security and then into the embassy. Collect ticket with your number on it and wait in the large room.
Only a short wait, only 10 - 15 minutes then my number was called so with sweaty hands and knocking knees I had my first interview. This lasted for 45 minutes and was mainly going through all the paperwork and giving orginal documents. This was done by an English woman who then said that a consulate officer would review it all and then I would be called to a different window and to keep checking the screens.
I then had an hour and a half wait, where I spoke to GOD and any body else who I thought would help. My number was called and got a really nice American consulate lady. She went through a few things in the paperwork mainly about the CIMT and asked a few questions about how we met and kept our relationship going and then said the MAGIC word APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
