I attended the embassy, and was the first person in the line. I didnt have my phone with me at the time, but I did have a battery, which I had to get rid off. This delayed me a little while, and around 10 people had moved in front of me before I could re-do the security procedure.
I went through security, and showed letter to the secretary, who gave me a number, I was I902. I sat down in a rather big waiting area, been there before, and not much had changed apart from no picture of the president. People get different numbers and letters, mostley N's for non immigant, I's for immigrant and a few E's. Quite a few N's were called, and then the first I901, I was called a few minutes later to a different booth.
He didnt want all my evidence, I took too much. Only the most up-to-date tax return and w2s required. I had three years, and they were not needed. I also had tax transcripts. I used a sponsor and co-sponsor. I gave letters from employers for both, and pay stubs. I also gave their I-134.
He also wanted a copy of the birth certificate, and the police certificate. I gave him original and copy. I asked for all originals back, which they did in the second interview. He went through a checklist, and we covered everything. He then gave me a green form for the courier if approved for the visa. I filled it in. Once I finished, I headed back to wait for visa interview. The guy in front of me was still in first stage. Around 30 minutes later I was called for my interview, and before him because I think its done in some kind of order, although it depends on type of visa. N's always move quicker then I's, and some N's more quicker then other N's. During this stage I also handed over the receipt for the visa fee. I also gave over two US passport photos, which I obtained in the US.
I went to the second interview. I swore to tell the truth whilst holding my right hand in the air. He gave me the form to sign, which I had prepared and sent in packet 3, and he asked me to write my fiancee's name in an area, and sign it. I thought it was probably a simple test, fail that, then what relationship do you actually have. He then asked one question, how did we meet. I told him in 2009, when I was working in the States. He then said he was cancelling my old visa, and he stamped it 'cancelled without prejudice', and said I wont be needing that as I am approved for the K1. He said it will be with me in 8-10 days, and told me to pay for the courier.
I paid the courier, and left. From appoinment time at 8, I got out by around 9:20.
