I arrived at the Consulate around 7am; my interview was scheduled for 8:30am. When I first got there I came to security he asked for my passport and two pictures, then I entered a hall to another security checkpoint, they checked my bags and took my cell phone gave me a ticket to claim it for later when leaving. Then I was given a number ticket for me to listen for when it's my time to be called. After sitting for a while a woman called me to the window and asked me to give her the listed required documents (DS-156, DS-156k, Police Clearance, Birth Certificate, etc.) which I had in a nice binder, but she said for me to take them out of the binder and give them to her. I sat back down waiting my turn, I was then called to do fingerprints, and pay my visa fee ($161,000CFA), which I calculated the currency wrong (it changes daily) so she said I was $3,000 short told me I had 25 mins to go get it, lucky I didn’t have far to go- I made it back in time. While sitting I start noticing the booth and the close environment setting. Wondering ill others hear my interview, but I learned later….no. So after sitting another long period I was finally called by this guy who came asking questions right away...

How did you get your first name?
Who is petitioning for you?
What she do for work?
How did you meet? Exactly?
How long you been communicating?
First time you started talking?
When the last time you talked to her?
What is her phone number?
When did you meet in person?
What places did you visit?
Do you have pictures of the places?
When is the last time you visited the US?
Have either of you ever been married?
Do any of you have kids?
How long you knew each other?

After answering all the questions- he asked to see our pictures and asked about the places again where we visited. Then he said "congratulations, I can now issue you a visa, you can come back on Tuesday to pick up your visa" He hand me a green slip with time and date for pick-up. I was out by noon time. I had an overall good experience today and everyone was very pleasant.
