Dont bring cellphones ,USB and any other electronic devices and liquids. I came to the US embassy at Roxas boulevard at 5:30 am expecting that il start my interview 6:35 am sharp but i was wrong. All scheduled 6:25-8am visa applicants were grouped according to what type of visa and form a line. I thought i was the only applicant for that scheduled appointment interview..hahaha..i have to leave my USB, perfumes, hand sanitizers and alcohol and leave it to the small store on the street and pay 100 pesos..Crazy but i have no choice than to be denied upon entry. I fell in line in the immigrant visa applicants. It was a long line. I prepared my appointment interview confirmation sheet that i downloaded when i scheduled for interview online. In return, the woman wil give you back the confirmation sheet with attached ticket number and duplicate ticket number for personal reference althroughout the visa processing and instructed to prepare the 3 forms(DS 156,DS 157 and DS 157) for the next window inside the embassy. Then i went directly inside the US Embassy..they will check your bags same in the airport but no removing of shoes at least. Once we get in, you can see windows 1,2 and 3. I went to the window three. The woman asked me to get the 3 DS forms and asked me where’s my passport. i told her that it’s in St. Lukes Hospital during my medical check up. And she just said ok. She returned the DS forms and arranged it accordingly and returned it back to me. She instructed me to drop those forms including the interview confirmation sheet with attached ticket number in window 39 but saved the duplicate ticket number for future references. I waited and watched for my number being flashed on screen. They will keep on flashing numbers with the corresponding windows where you will be going. Take note that the number being flashed is not in strict numerical order so keep your eyes on the board. My number flashed on screen and indicated window 39 so I went to window 39. The woman asked me when was the last time i visited st. Lukes extension clinic. I told them last Monday, march 11. And the woman noted the date and asked me to get back to seat and wait for my number again being flashed on the screen. I waited again and talked to my co applicants.. we shared our experiences to kill the time. Then my number flashed again on the screen with corresponding window 51. I went to the said window for my pre interview with a Filipino officer. I greeted him. He’s a good guy. He asked me to kindly get the NBI clearance, Cenomar, birth certificate, only 2010 income tax return,W 2 and affidavit of support of my fiancé. I gave all the documents he needed. I printed my name and signed the DS forms with his assistance. Then he asked me three questions including my name as my first question, when did i meet him and how. I answered him honestly.i told him Dec. 6,2010 and thru online. I could see in his face he was amazed.haha..He confirmed my answer by saying the year 2010.He told me to wait again for my interview with the consul. I’ve heard about finger scanning from other applicants. So i raised my concern. I told him that i don’t have my finger scanning yet. Then he advised me that if il be interviewed by the American consul without the finger scanning, just tell them. Then i went back again to sit down and waiting..its a long wait. Thanks i finally have my finger scanning at window 41 .the black American asked me to state my name and birthdate. I gave the informations he needed. He asked me to placed my four left fingers then my right fingers and finally my right and left thumbs for scanning. That’s it. Here we go again..Sit down!sit down! And rack your chair..hehehe..patience is a virtue. Im waiting for my number again. Im expecting that the next would be the final interview. I just sat down and kept watching for my number. Oh! My number was flashed and directed to window 59. The applicant before me was answering the questions in tagalong but there was an interpreter for the consul. She might be an ilokana. And she’s done. My turn.i prepared the photos that the fiipino officer advised me.i placed it on top of my documents. I greeted the consul ar officer of course. He asked me of my name. He asked of my petitioner’s name. I told him of the complete name of my fiancé a.k.a dummy(kidding). He checked our documents he has on his hand including my st. Luke’s result. He asked me how did i meet him. I told him we met online atwww.filipinocupid.com. He asked me when was the last time i saw him in person.i told him last march 20-27 this year. He rechecked the documents maybe he’s confused. Fiance's march trip might not be in the documents so he’s confused. I initiated to inform him that my fiancé was here twice already since last December 2010 to give him idea and not be judged that i lied. He asked me when was the first time i saw him.i told him he was here last January 17. He asked me how long he stayed here everytime he visited here. I told him a week or 8days. He asked me what’s his work. I told him he’s a documentation manager. He was not familiar with that job. I told him that he’s more on computers like editing or updating documents.i showed him my fiance’s sample work that i brought. Then he checked it and gave it back to me. he told me to go to window 72 for additional documents ,wait for my number being flashed. My number was on the board to go to window 74 and not 72. I showed him my ticket number. The guy told me to fill up the shipment delivery information form in window 69 and gave it to the person there. He returned the confirmation sheet that i dropped in window 39 and followed his instructions.i filled up the blanks with data and gave it to her. I asked her it that was the last step and she said yes. I asked also the guy prior to me who went to same window as me if that was the last and we can go. And he said yes. I asked the woman who guided the applicants about numbering and windows . i showed the interview confirmation sheet that was returned to me and told her that i came from that window. Is everything ok now and i can leave?and she said yes.so i finally went out considering i haven’t have my breakfast thinking everything will be ok in just 10 minutes interview.i finished the interview like past 12.
