Review Topic: K1 Visa

After the embassy received the approval package from the UVC processing center in Vermont, she received a notification a week later informing her that her interview was scheduled for 4 weeks out. The packet they sent her was in Spanish, which was hard since my fiance was not a native Spanish speaker (she's Filipino). I wish they had an English package as an option. She completed her medical exam the next week and went to her interview 3 weeks later. She was very nervous, but the interview went smoothly. They asked about how we met and what she liked about me. She basically got the OK at the interview, but for some reason they needed a copy of my 2010 tax return, which no one had ever told me was needed. I was upset because that meant another delay, but I sent it and my fiance received her visa in the mail about 10 days later. She said everyone was very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience! She is now here in the US and we will be getting married June 2011!
