Rating: | Review Topic: Adjustment of Status
We waited for about 2 hours past our scheduled appointment time, but were finally called in. Officer did not seem terribly interested in supplemental materials we had brought, other than a few bills/contracts we had signed. I had not brought a few things that would have been helpful (receipts from engagement and wedding rings, recipts/contracts from ceremony and reception venue), but he was not too put off by that.
After reviewing submitted answers to questions and forms (esp. on the I-485, like the questions about planning to overthrow the government, etc), he told us were going to be approved, and that we'll need to file for ROC within 90 days of the expiration of the conditional GC.
Overall, it was a lot easier than we expected, and went very well. Waiting two hours was not fun, though, especially when all of the other people that showed up at the same time as us were in/out in under an hour.
