Guangzhou, China | Review on July 26, 2010: | LDG

Oh what a happy day! I can't believe my fiancee will now be able to fly back home with me after my next visit in September. Thank you to all you VJ members that gave excellent support and advice. Without all the great information on this site i'm not sure we would have been so sucessful.
I was not able to be in Guangzhou. It was a difficult time for my SO, alone in this big city without any friends or close family. (Until an encounter with another VJer's fiancee whos interview is upcoming. Good luck you two!)
Not having me there was difficult for her, but we managed to keep calm and collected and used the last couple of days to practice questions and such.
My only real concern was I only visited China 1 time. Another minor concern was my fiancee's English skill, it's decent but not great. However we had plenty of good evidence we communicated every day and quite well.
As per my fiancee, 6:45 walks out the hotel (Yang's), there is the big line up to enter the consulate, she did not have time for breakfast and lined up. Inside and submitted the required P4 documents and financials. Given a number and later fingerprinted. She was then called to the interview window where an older white lady awaited.
-Good morning!
-Good morning.
-What is your petitioner's name?
-Gave name and said 'here is a letter from him for you, please see'
She handed VO my EOR letter briefly explaining our timeline and how we communicate, our future plans and some lovey dovey stuff. She reads the whole thing.
-When did you two meet?
-In February we met in Qingdao. Last year we met on internet, MSN.
-Oh cool.
-You want to see our chat samples and pictures?
-Yes! (VO takes evidence of chat and webcam pictures, notices our mutual parents meeting and smiling, also briefly looks at phone records and some emails)
-Here are our pictures together in Qingdao. (VO looks at pictures, smile)
-(In Mandarin) Does your fiance speak Chinese?
-Yes, very good. I have letter from his university Chinese professor, you look.
-Wow, good. Welcome to the U.S.!
I can't believe it was that easy. Just 3 quetions, about 10 minutes. I think being well prepared was definitely the key, EOR letter probably helped too. And a little luck on getting an awesome VO. My fiancee mentioned 2 other VOs were giving out blues and greens (not sure what green is).
Good luck to you all.
