Review Topic: K3 Visa

It took over 900 days = nearly 3 YEARS from when we filed the paperwork to get any update and to get the interview appointment. My understanding is that when they received the paperwork in Hellsinki, they moved fast from then on, but that leaves still nearly 900 days of unexplained, unacknowledged, and unapologized delays for us.

Furthermore, the reason for using the embassy of Hel was simply having got married in that country. As I wasn't living in that country that gave additional headaches of scheduling medicals and interview in another country that I was living. 2,5 weeks in Hel as I was not able to return home without my passport.

Interview itself reminded me and the spouse of East Germany, for both the style and charm of the office as the whole uncelebratoriness of the process. First wait for nearly an hour, then the five minutes of questions in a very tiny room behind a glass, wait again some more, pick the visa after a few days.

The rating is 1- for the whole process, and the total time taken from when paperwork was filed to actually receiving the visa, and how uncommunicative the whole process has been, counts for 90 % of the score.
