Review Topic: K1 Visa

Got a BLUE SLIP.... which is a 221(g) Lacking documents/Further Processing. This was surprising because we were well prepared. Additional forms they asked for were three year tax returns from me and three year "CERTIFIED" tax returns from my co-sponsor (I was told I only needed to submit our 2008 taxes which I did, also CERTIFIED COPIES TAKE 60 days to get from the IRS in the USA.)

We had written a letter before the interview stating that she only joined CCP for school and never participated in any other actions etc.... they kept the letter. But they requested additional information about CCP.

I had copied our Video Chat History from SKYPE 147 pages, 4 rows each page (1 hour or more every night.) We only missed about 19 days in 8 months and that was due to traveling. I also, lived in China from August 2008 until March 2009 and I had plane tickets, huge picture book, and receipts. But they still ask for more correspondence proof.

I think it's a crap-shoot this year China has processed 97 (K1 visa) and of those 42 are pending (almost a 50/50 chance you get that visa). My advice is bring every thing and the kitchen sink.... Shit bring the whole house. Read as much of this web-page and others for information. I thought, I covered it all, even paid a lawyer USAVISANOW to double check our information and it was worthless in the end.

We waited 216 days for our interview and then at the interview they tell us we need forms that take 60 days to receive... it's chui niu pi !!!
