Review Topic: K1 Visa

We arrived at about 8:15 for our 8:30 interview time. While outside in line a woman checked our paper work and made sure everything was filled out properly(BE SURE AND HAVE PEN!!).She made sure we were on the list, asked for copy of ds 156, ds-156k, ds-157 (both copies)and passport photos, the paid visa fee receipt. She then stapled passport photos to the forms that required it. We then were told to go to another line that was still outside the front of embassy (short wait). Eric and I then were told to enter the building. We went through the security line. That was when the nerves really hit me. The man told us to put everything in the basket then wait to go through metal detector. After we gathered all of our belongings, we went to another line outside. There another woman came to check our paper work and we just waited to proceed inside the building. They were letting 5 people in at a time. That wait wasn't that long either. Now we are finally inside the building, snaked around the wall waiting to be assigned a number. We get our number A133 won't forget that!!! We were instructed to go through door to the right.

Here we sit down and wait for our number to be called. We were only there for about 5min before this black lady with the world's worst customer service attitude took our paper work. Here she asked for Affidavit of Support (I-134) and 2008 tax returns. She gave me back the other two years that I bought. She wanted the police certificate, certificate of no-impediment to marriage, and two passport photos (WITH FULL NAME ON BACK). Then we were told to go to window 17 for finger prints.
So we go there and wait to be called. Eric goes to window and does finger prints. The we are told to go back to other side and wait for our same number A133 to be called again. That took about 15-25min. While we were waiting we were talking to Char and Ivan. who were right behind us in the process. So our number was called and we both go to window. We got the black guy I think it was window 6. He started out asking simple question that either one of us could answer.
Questions:
1. Where did we meet
2. How long have we been together
3. Have I met his family
4. Has he met my family
5. How many times I have been to see him
Then he told me to go sit down. Eric takes it from here
Questions:
1. Have you ever been to U.S.
2. Have you travelled outside Jamaica
3. Have you ever been arrested
4. Who in your family has your fiance met
5. What type of work does your fiance do
6. How long have I been working there
7. Does your fiance have any children
8. Has your fiance ever been married
9. Have you ever been issued visa before
10. Have you applied for your daughter
11. Will she follow
12. What is address in the U.S. where you will be staying

Pretty much he grilled my baby. Had me a little worried until I saw Eric slide his Visa through window. He looked up and did a little Thank You Lord look. Then he turned gave me a thumbs up and we went and got in the DHL line which took all of 10min.
Time complete about 9:45

My man soon come.
