Review Topic: K1 Visa

Here are the details to Mila's interview.

She was one of the first to leave her documentation at 7:45 a.m.

They told her it had to be printed and not in pencil (form 156).

They told her she could go to a place that had internet and print them out
or she could cancel her appointment and reschedule for another day.
They told her if she wanted to have them printed, she would have to be back by 9:00.
They gave her a ticket to re-enter the embassy and she was able to make it back by 8:20.

She gave them the forms and they told her to have a seat. She waited one hour and they called her to one of the windows.
They asked for her criminal and police documents, her medical exam, and my personal documents.
She also gave them Western Union statements and my plane tickets.
She said this was very fast and then she went to another window to have her finger prints taken.
She said at this window they also looked at our e-mails and photos.

She was told to wait again. After about an hour she was called to another window. A lady with a pink folder (approval) asked
her how we met, (we met through a mutual friend), They asked how i knew my friend (from work), then she asked if I was married (haha),
she told her no that I was divorced, she told her when I got divorced, why I got divorced and that I had a 9 year old son.

She also asked if she had a problem with our age difference. no problems.

She told Mila the visa was approved and gave her the pink folder to take to the Western Union window to pay for the DHL (20 soles)

She was completely done at 11:00. She said there were other people there for different types of visas and those people were asked
many more questions. She never had to go to another room. She said everything was done at the windows where everyone else could hear everything.

She said it was very easy except for not having her forms 156 printed. She said she got lucky and found a nearby internet cafe where she could print everything out. I'm just lucky I had e-mailed her the forms so she was able to access them in her hotmail.

I hope this helps.
