 Hi
My wife and daughter, had their interviews on June 11 2009, the consular officer who did the interview was very professional, and said all the papers were ok and fine. He, However, needed to check that she didn't overstay her previous F1 visa. It took the consulate about 2 weeks to check her file (I guess with DHS), she was given the 221 but not put in Administrative Processing.. they kept her passport..as well as our daughter's passport( she is 18 months)
Today they issued their visas. Overall the american staff of the consulate is OK, the only bad experience my wife had is with Mr Samir the translator/Janitor (moroccan) at the door , who seems to be "bringing" his "mou9ata3a experience
with him to his new job. His attitude is unbecoming of a us consulate staff member.

Being both orgininally from Morocco helps, no tough questions
about how/when and why we are married.

Being organized helps too, try to put every kind of papers in its single folder..
By the way , if it has been more than 3 months since you submitted your "fiche anthropometrique" et casier judiciaire to NVC..make sure you get a recent ones , they asked my wife for them. Moroccan birth certificate also have 3 months validity but ..they didn't care about that
Again through the whole process with the interview they were courteous and always responded (within 48 hours ) to our e-mail inquiries.
