Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband arrived 40 min early, there was no line. He went to the first window and they found his file from the NVC and asked him for his police certificate from madrid. He said that wasn't required (per the appointment letter) she had to research it and it was agreed that it wasn't necessary. He did his fingerprints and told to take a seat he waited about 20 min and was called for his interview.

The questions were: Who is (wife's name)? Why are you in Spain? Why (wife's name)? Where did you meet her? Did you know other women before? Why did you invite her? Do you know her kids? Will you have problems with the kids?

As the consular was asking questions my husband was showing him the pictures of us and the emails. The consular happened to find an email where my husband and I had a disagreement with my kids mentioned. The consular pointed it out to my husband he said "it wasn't the kids but her ex husband." He seemed ok with that.

Then he said well your visa is approved you have 6 months to go to your wife. you will leave us your passport and you will get a letter in 1-2 weeks and told him not to open it ???? that part seems strange to me... need to investigate futher.

My husband said it was easy and nice....
