Interview date Nov 26, 2008. All the other reviews are pretty accurate. Showed up at 7am and waited for them to open the doors at 7:30 to go through security. Then you go down the stairs and wait for the elevator to take you up.
Upstairs is a bit more waiting, but we were first so your name gets called to go back and talk to the first person and give them your passport pics and mailer and she just asks a few questions, how long have you been married? visits etc. Then you go sit a bit more then called back to do fingerprints to the same person.
After that you wait again then called to the closet room for the actual interview, get sworn in. She didn't ask too much, we have a domicile issue, so that was most of that everything was about. She did ask him if he was ever arrested anywhere in the world, told him she didn't need to see the x-ray and can basically forget about it and told him is medical is all good. Had a little chat then the domicile thing came up. Had some proof, just bank statements and a voting pamphlet thing that Cali sends, but she didn't want to see it. Told to fax or mail it in. Had the option to leave the passport but didn't trust her 2 week promise so took it. She wasn't so bad though, I was a bit upset, husband looked down, but she wasn't mean and told us what to do. She did also give back our marriage certificate and his birth certificate. So all in all, it wasn't so bad. Just a downer but our case was a bit different than most.
It was all fairly fast, we were out of there before 9am. Could be because they were only working a half day that day. The parking available down there, the meters don't charge till 9am so we paid the 15 dollar paid parking around the corner. Lots of construction going on down there, so watch out for falling objects lol.
