So yesterday was the big interview day! ...and what a day it was! I got off the tube at Marble arch and walked down park lane. The embassy was really easy to find from there.

My appointment was at ten, but there was quite a long line of folk waiting to get in. So i joined the line at 9.15am and i was let into the embassy at 9.28am. The security guards where all super friendly. Its exactly like going through airport security. I then followed the path round to some stairs which led me to reception. Behind the desk was a helpful guy who gave me a ticket number and explained where to go. I was number 5016 and there was 7 people infront of me waiting. When i got to the waiting room i was surprised as to how big it was. the seats where all arranged and facing towards the big tv screens with with everyones ticket numbers on them. when someone would be called, it would come up on that screen 'ticket number 5016 to booth 8'. i took a seat and within half an hour i was called to booth 15 where i was greated by a lovely english guy who took my finger prints and official documents and gave me a pink slip for the courier service. (you could recognise the peeps waiting for immigrant visas by thier pink slips!). I paid for the visa with dollars then The kind english guy then told me to take a seat and wait for my proper interview.

So i took a seat and waited.....and waited....and waited...

four and a half hours later i was called up!! My nerves where taken over by frustration and a struggle to stay awake! hehe. I was called to booth 15 again where i was greeted by a REALLY friendly american woman. She asked how i was, appoligised for the delay etc. She really made me feel at ease. She made me swear i was telling the truth to the best of my knowledge then she got straight into the questions!!

*how did you and josh meet?
*What are your wedding plans?
*how do you keep in touch?
*what does he work as?
*what relationship is the co-sponser to josh?
*what does the co-sponser do for a living?

It lasted all of 6 mins. She then smiled and said 'as soon as we get your medical results ill be very happy to grant you your visa!'. I felt like doing a 'chandler from friends' stylee dance but managed to resist! I thanked her and then joined the que for the courier service. I payed the standard £14.50 fee and i was free to go!

Staff wise, it was a great experiance. Theyre super friendly. But i gave them 4/5 for the stupidly long wait!
