Original K1 Visa appointment was scheduled for 1/7/2025. Beneficiary received a 221g for medicals. Was told that he needed to have a medical examination redone. Then could return for visa appointment/approval. The communication is lacking on what actually needs to happen.
Fiancé and I waited the 1-year period as was indicated by the Consulate in Lagos - we reached out to reschedule the medical appointment and were told that we failed to follow up. Told we were expected to have had 3-4 appointments over a 1-year period. This was not what to document from the Consulate stated.
Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the Consulate and IOM- we have no choice but to try and do whatever the directions are that they give us, but beware, they do like to move the goalpost on you.
Here we are now, 1.5 years after the original appointment, still trying to get answers, and praying that we do it right the first time. Nothing in this process is for the faint of heart.
