Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview at 9:15am
Arrived at 9am, my husband was not allowed into the Embassy which was surprising but after I got in I quickly realised it might because there's a lot of people queuing in the same room for visitor visas.

If you're here for immigrant visa, they tell you to take a seat and they will call you to the window.
Window 8 is for document checks, Window 7 is where the interview is conducted.
I did a pre interview document check 1 week+ prior to my interview and they took my birth certificate and marriage certificate.
Handled over the passport photos on the interview day itself.

No digital devices are allowed into the embassy, I highly recommend bringing a book to read, though I was too nervous to do so haha.

Whole interview process, including waiting took over an hour or so.

Interview questions:
When did you first meet your spouse?
When did you get married?
Did u have a wedding ceremony?
What brings you to the US?
Where does he live?
Does ur husband work, what’s his job?
Do you work, what’s your job?
Who’s your co sponsor?
Will you be entering the US together?

And that was it. The interview spent some time typing on the computer and told me they plan to issue my visa and to look out for an email within the week.
They did not look at a single document or evidence I had prepared. They kept my passport and I got the email that I could pick it up from Aramax a few days after.
